Leadership
Ms. Sangeeta Basu, Founder and Chairperson
Founder and Chairperson of QATA, Ms. Sangeeta, has to her credit a versatile certification in ACCA, ACMA/CGMA, CFA, CIA, CFE, CCM, AMLS, ACAMS, CISA, ACMA(India), FATCA/CRS, GRI certified from GRI institute and CFA’s ESG investing. She is Ex-PwC, Ex-E&Y and has a vast professional experience in the field of risk management, gap analysis, internal audit, corporate finance, anti-money laundering compliance and ESG advisory services in Britain and the Gulf countries. She spearheaded the preparation of many ESG reports for some of the major companies across the Gulf region, including Dar Al Arkan. Sangeeta has demonstrated a strong proficiency in AML compliance and FATCA CRS through her extensive experience in Qatar and the UAE, where she successfully completed numerous assignments in these areas. She is also the manager and head of the management consultancy division of F & Y Auditors and Chartered Accountants, Qatar. She had also served as the director of Sterling School of Management Studies, Mumbai in the year 2006.

Mr. Mukund, Managing Director
Mukund is an accomplished finance and compliance professional with over 18 years of experience in management consulting, business advisory, and regulatory compliance. He is an Associate Cost and Management Accountant (ACMA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). In addition to leading QATA as its Managing Director, Mukund serves as the Assistant Manager – Business Advisory Services at F & Y Auditors and Chartered Accountants, Qatar, a position he has held for the past six years. His expertise encompasses business valuations, feasibility studies, internal audits, FATCA/CRS compliance, anti–money laundering (AML) audits, gap analyses, ESG and BRSR reporting, and the formulation of policy and procedure manuals. Mukund has assisted numerous financial institutions in the UAE, Qatar, and India in achieving FATCA/CRS compliance and has trained compliance teams of asset management and financial companies in India and abroad on FATCA/CRS regulations and reporting standards. He has also conducted AML compliance audits for several exchange houses in Qatar, ensuring adherence to local and international regulatory frameworks. With broad experience across the cooperative banking, hospitality, agriculture, and manufacturing sectors, he has led multiple assignments in feasibility studies, AML compliance, risk management, and social impact assessments in India and the UAE.

Sengeny Balaraman, Director
Acting as a director for QATA, Mr. Sengeny is ACMA and a social auditor having a post qualification experience of more than 10 years in income tax, GST, internal audit, stock audit, Bank audit and maintenance of cost records and cost audit compliance. He was a Chairman of Pondicherry Chapter of Cost Accountants. As a Chairman and Managing Committee member, he has conducted various professional development programs for the members & conducted various seminars, workshop and joint programs in association with Universities, Colleges for the knowledge empowerment of students and faculties.
